This is Our Story

It all started in Cell 2, where Travis Miller and Juan Lopez Gaines spent countless hours in prayer, study, and spiritual warfare. Born just 15 days apart, the two men discovered they shared similar pasts—both from the streets, both survivors of life’s battles, and both chosen by God for something greater.
Juan entered the military at just 17, while Travis was serving a seven-year prison sentence when the Holy Spirit struck his heart, letting him know that he belonged to the Kingdom. During their seven days together in that cell, they forged an unbreakable brotherhood through faith.
Guided by the principle that “iron sharpens iron,” they prayed, taught, and inspired others—transforming their environment from a place of confinement into a sanctuary of hope. They cultivated a culture of prayer, brotherly love, and spiritual discipline, reflecting the character of Jesus Christ in their daily walk.
This divine encounter wasn’t coincidence—it was God’s arrangement, a holy setup that would connect them to Brother René Martinez, Apostle and Lead Soldier for Jesus Christ Street Ministry. Today, Faith Over Fear Ministries is proud to launch the God’s Elect Podcast, a living testimony that God is armoring up His soldiers—calling men from every background to rise, unite, and walk boldly in faith.
